I'm not sure if the ANL Couriers would take extra meticulous special care of a package or they just don't give a crap.
They actually have a branch or a namesake here, who seem to enjoy engaging in non conventional romance, as their 5 ton truck driver parked right up my rear so to speak in a local shopping area carpark, blocking one lane of traffic I might add, and I only just managed to squeeze my car out as the driver was nowhere to be seen.

It seems the Aus Nat'l Line is now part of the French CMA CGM company who bought it from the Feds in 1998 according to Australian National Line - Wikipedia

Commonly refered to as "seem a coggem".
If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.
The Ship 'River Loddon as shown on ANL's Wiki page brings back memories, some good & some not so good.
Most of their fleet was named after Oz Rivers I recall.
After my old Dad had to give up Trucking on the wharves at Port Adelaide he obtained a job as a Tally Clerk on the Port Adelaide & Outer Harbour wharves which to me was a bonus as he was able to scavenge a lot of Foreign Ciggy Packets which were collectable by lots of kids back then.
That is the good news. The not so good was that he died of Ca. @ 49 (caused by who knew what in those days but maybe it was the crap in ciggy packets he was collecting for his #2 Son) I digress. Anyway, he had to peruse the Shipping News each day to see what ships were arriving in case he was called in to work. River Loddon cropped up many times as I recall in later years as did many others when ANL had a respectable Coastal Fleet.
Shipping news is no longer published in the Advertiser 'cos only container ships seem to call here these days & of course they don't require Tally Clerks as such. He would probably be glad of that as he would be 115 years of age & that is no job for an older geezer.
I often wonder whether part of his job was the consignment in the Chain of Ex A bomb & Radio active cargo from Maralinga being sent back to the UK but then I reckon there were plenty of Health Hazards around then but as Maralingadoesn't have a Port, cargo could have been sent through Port Augusta. Who knows?
Just sayin'
I sailed past this vessel some years ago in Port Phillip Bay - we almost died laughing.

Nope... I won't write what a couple of the boys yelled out to them as we passed by - they were at anchor and a few crew were leaning on the handrails watching the world go by. Lets just say - the replies we got couldn't be noted here either.
