Back when I had darker hair, I bought one of the last HX "run-outs". in WA. Back then, GMH would test the waters by chucking in next-model's. fruit and the odd new bits.
The last 6 months of HX had the new control arm & new mounting points with some modified alignment, but not the better springs & shocks & sway bars. And mine had the 6-inch HZ rims.

But mine had tabs welded on rear axle, begging for a genuine HZ sway bar. - Cost me $9.20 for the bar... adding the bushes and bolts brought it up to $11.70. Yep, wot was showing on the microfiche... Never paid for parts SO fast !
Aftermarket bars were around the $50 mark.

Just fitting the bar axed a chunk of understeer.

Later in Adelaide the dealer put in the newest wheel alignment numbers.... and it could do a 80km/h 'one-pull Moose Test', and stay ON the road.

Bonus was the softer, floaty-er ride from the HX springs - A pre-cursor to Range-Rover ride.....[bigwhistle]
