Regards the steering on those Dodge trucks; I seem to remember it could be improved by fitting steel wedges on top of the axle and under the leaf spring, ...something about the toe in I suppose.

Castor is the trail or lead from the centre axis. I believe lead is actually negative castor.

In a bad case, I suspect one wouldn't need castor oil, for one's bowels as the vehicle would be all over the road.
