Looks to be a similar order of magnitude to Wolfe Crater near Halls Creek - being smarter in AU, the visitor centre there is in town

Mmm, I'm not sure? I would be inclined to use the following:

'Due to cutbacks, Dave will be fired.'

'Dave will be fired, owing to cutbacks.'
