A bit of research leads me to believe it to be a Fageol.

I thought that was a rude acronym until I saw the Wikipedia link.

Actually, I'm kind of disappointed now that it wasn't a rude acronym.

The Fageol name emerged once more, in 1950, when the Twin Coach Company produced the amazing CargoLiner concept, billed as a ‘trailer without a tractor’. The bodywork was built by Fruehauf, on top of an underfloor engine and transmission and steerable-turntable, dual-tyred front axle. Production versions had a conventional front axle and were the precursors of pantechnicon bodies around the world.

    Cornering would be interesting.

My BIL had something similar,i think it was slightly newer, an International. He had a removal business at the time, just him and an offsider.

He used to park it on the vacant block of land next door, and the local kids used to paint a huge you know what on the side of it.

We used to laugh because he would be driving it around doing jobs, until his spray painter mate could paint over it.

Then the local hoons would do it again

From memory, after this happened a few times he parked at a 24hr servo, and had to pay the owner a few $ for the privilege.
