Some nice rigs here. Can't say I'm in love with the music though.
As did I. It takes no time, and I would rather it fell off in the yard. Of course, if you do the test properly it won’t fall.Originally Posted by d2dave;[URL="tel:3253726"
I worked at a place where we were constantly swapping trailers. I watched a bloke do the test, from a distance. Looked ok, but he didn’t do a visual. The pin was above the jaws but it was in enough to not pull out. He got about five miles, wondering why it was making a banging noise over bumps. He found out on the corner of the Maroondah highway and springvale road when it came off and frightened the **** out of everyone who was in the Maccas on the corner.
That was the day I swore to never overlook the visual. Nobody was hurt but you can probably imagine the ensuing chaos, not to mention the conversations with Vicroads and the cops.

I cannot abide the presenter, but thought you would be interested in the content, John (JDNSW).
If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.
No idea - I had two Disco 1s from new and both were Agean Blue.

Thanks - I can't spare the data to watch all of it, but I am very familiar with the difference between the ID and the DS, having driven one for years. And I agree, I don't think much of the presenter. Right from the start, the correct pronunciation of the model "ID" is "EeDay" the same as the French word "idée", meaning idea.
These were assembled in Australia at Heidelberg in the 1960s, with significant Australian content.

* I grew up in neighbouring Ivanhoe. The distinction is important.... WH was the home of "the gangs". It was also the home of the 56 Olympic Village, which as so often happens became Housing Commission "homes". Also the home of my first girlfriend, so not all bad.....
