    I often take the Dog for a walk after dark,down at the local sports field.There are two AFL/Cricket fields surrounded by scrub,with the Logan River running along one section.
    I take a small spray bottle with Detol in it,a small squirt on a toad and it is all over for the toad.
    The record so far is 197 in an hour and a half.

    Awful things. Last trip we did to the Kimberley, we came across our first cane toad at the King River outside Wyndham. I killed 80 with the shovel one evening in the Gregory National Park. That must be close to 10 years ago, hate to think what they're like there now.

    They have killed all the freshwater Turtles in some of the Lakes on Fraser.Basin Lake is one of them.Apparently the turtles eat the small toads,and that is what kills them.That Lake was full of turtles when i was a kid.
    On some islands they run Springer Spaniels over all the freight that comes onto the island,for toads,rats,mice,and other vermin.
