MoveLater2 Camping, Fishing & 4x4'ing (Obviously) in QLD

    Hey All,

I receive delivery of my new 110 Puma next week, and want to plan a trip away in it next weekend and/or the weekend after. Just looking for some ideas of where I can go.

I'd like to find somewhere with the following:

    • 3-4hrs from Brisbane (can be northern NSW)
    • Fishing nearby
    • Dog friendly (on or off leash)
    • Some off-road tracks nearby - or some fun tracks to get there

    Any recommendations?

Nugget's write-up in the last unsealed 4x4 looks pretty interesting.

You might have trouble, as it's no longer in print, and won't be again for the forseeable future. Apparently some libraries have it.

Nissan used to have a good 4x4 road trip , camping , fishing guide for SE Qld , attached to their Australian website. Don't know if it's still there.

Yeah if anyone has a copy of the latest edition I'd be keen to buy it off them, or get a scanned copy.

    Strad - Mentioned above
Morton - Even more expensive, but have a trip booked in Feb - Main problem is no dogs
Short trip to Fraser - Never a short trip to Fraser - And no dogs again
    Hinterland - Any suggestions?
    Ect ect

Buy yourself a copy of " Dirty Weekends in SE Qld "by Brad McCarthy. 22 weekend 4WD adventures within 4 hours of Brisbane. Bought from any reputable 4x4 store. We've been on 12, spot on.
I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking
