    About $13 each for the double weatherproofs. Not a lot dearer than those brackets before you screw a GPO to them.

    Here we go - Double Weatherproof Power Point GPO 10A (IP53 Rated) | 30213 - NLS

    I used Sparky Direct a fair bit when I had the caravan park.

    Saved me heaps.

    Gav, are you also using the weatherproofs inside?
    Dave.

    I was asked " Is it ignorance or apathy?" I replied "I don't know and I don't care."

    Yes, for a couple of reasons. Firstly is they are more robust than a standard GPO and stand up better in a shed IMO. Secondly there is a large portion of the shed open at one end - the other day, the fog rolled right in and put a layer of condensation on everything, so better for that too.

    Shed Update

    Hi All,

    So Friday was "D" day - the Shed is complete (at least from the installers perspective).. They finished off the caping, installed the 2 x PA doors, and installed the guttering... Some pics:

    From the installers point of view - everything is finished...

    Saturday dawned - and Super Gav arrived to start on the electrical... After walking around the shed and discussing power points, light fittings, light switches, hoist location, switch board, etc - Gav rolled up his sleeves and started running electrical cable...

    While Gav started on that, a mate and myself started the "Big Move"... Over the weekend with the help of Shaun & Gav, we managed to move EVERYTHING into the shed...

    Two Massive days and we moved:

    * 1961 Series 2 "The Grey Ghost" - actually we used the Ghost an enormous amount over the weekend.
    * 1976 2 Door Rangie
    * 1976 101FC
    * 1983 Stage One V8 Wagon
    * Bonnets, Doors, Guards
    * Spare Parts - it's amazing how many you aquire over time.
    * Tools - it's amazing how many you aquire over time.
    * Oils/Paints/Lubricants
    * Benches
    * 1 x 3.5v8 engine
    * 1971 Series 2a Station Wagon - in 1,000,000 pieces
    * Body Panels for a Series III tray back
    * Spare wheels / tyres
    * Series vehicle seats
    * Rangie seats
    * Engine Hoist, 2 x Engine Stands
    * Crump & Cornish Trailer

    Anyway - after a MASSIVE effort from Shaun & Gav, everything is now in it's place... (At least until I start to reconfigure things! Lol)

    Oh and as much as we would have liked to - we just couldn't fit any ethernet cable in the conduit, once we ran this baby in there....

    Getting that cable in that conduit - was a 3 man job, and a mighty one at that... It was certainly an experience!

    Roger is all alone in the garage - at least for the time being:

    What's left?

    Plumber - install a tap and the down pipes.
    Electrical - lights, power points, hoist

    A massive thank you to Shaun & Gavin - I couldn't have moved into the shed in one weekend, without their help.. I was amazed that we got everything done in the one weekend.

    (We even had time for 2 visitors and to change a flat tyre on a 6x6 Perentie, but that's another story).

    Cheers,
    GG.

    We thought of that too - lights are going between the bays - there's enough room to get the 19' scissor where I need to. Most of the vehicles are mobile under their own steam so no dramas really.

    The 16mm 4 core and earth was massive overkill but came at the right price. Squeezing it through the 32mm conduit was quite interesting, but went on ok all things considered.

    All wiring to the GPO's and 15 amp outlets is in, just needs fitting off.

    See if we can get some electrons flowing next weekend.

    The 16mm2 could be beneficial in the long run. Just incase one day he want to go off grid, could set all the solar up on the shed with battery system then feed back to the house using the 16mm sub mains😉
