Many say its revenue rising, but the last thing I want is Spankers crashing red lights whilst I am on the road. I'm all for it
New cameras to enforce from February
Tuesday, 31 January 2017 15:21
Variable messaging signs will be in place at 13 intersections from today, warning drivers that speed cameras will be enforcing soon.
The signage precedes the planned activation of the cameras in February, following an announcement by the government in January 2016 that new speed and red-light cameras would be installed or upgraded to increase safety at critical intersections across Victoria.
The variable messaging signs will stay in place for a fortnight after the activation of the cameras when the messaging will change to ?cameras now enforcing.?
Of the 13 intersections, four are new sites and nine involve camera upgrades.
It is expected two more cameras will start enforcing in March.
Two cameras in Narre Warren and Yarraville were switched on in October.
