I saw that the other day and wondered the same. In this country it will work as being a restoration, the original identity is retained.
ADRs and other relevant legislation is not retrospective however, if during the course of a vehicle's lifetime it is updated (e.g. seatbelts or blinkers had been fitted) said updates must be retained.
If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.
