Who reads the manual before they are in trouble?

I got 'pinged' some time ago for breaching the forum rules, fair enough, do the crime, do the time.

How many of us start to put something together and only look at the instructions when it is too late, you have to pull apart what you have done 'cause you put the top bit on the bottom' or vice versa.

So, today I read some rules and found what I needed.

What had concerned me was that, having information about a company that I consider shonky to say the least, I could not warn others about it, hence me falling foul of the no 'name and shame' rule.

If I have read the rules correctly now, I can state there is a company in South Australia that abuses it's position and relies on most customers not knowing enough about their vehicle and or mechanical procedures to be able to check up on what was done and or fitted.

Whilst I still can not name this company publicly, I believe I can advise any individual who contacts me via PM as to who it is.

They are also dicking around the court system in SA but I hope that will finally be sorted by mid year, fingers crossed.

    Regards to all.

    Mike

    Who reads the manual?

    Me

Still didn't help me two weeks ago when I assembled a vanity unit. For the life of me,, I swear, I did not see the two holes in the middle of the base. Hence, all apart and flip it over I don't feel too bad about it though,, I wasn't the only one who didn't see them

As far as naming and shaming goes,, I'm of two minds. Sometimes I think it should be OK to do so,, but alas, the way the world has gone with slander etc, and in our case,, Daves the one they'll chase first,, so definitely have to look after his/our interests. It's just as easy to tell everyone you whoe's, then as you said, a quick pm from anyone concerned.

I've heard many derogatory remarks about 'The South Australian Company', but have no idea who it is. Consequently I avoid all SA outfits. In fairness to the honourable businesses, please PM me.

Didn't know you could get a "vanity unit" as an option in the new Discovery. It's not an option I've seen listed before.
    Cheers .........

***Mod edit: Blatant hints are included in the name & shame policy.

Quite possibly ............................ but I had to look up who he was, so I really don't know. Does he specialize in designing furniture specifically for a dark blue luxury environment ?
    Cheers .........
