    Nutters....

I've got the Deafener up for sale on a couple of sites and keep getting messages from a nutter who reckons he's already bought one for less dollars! Now he's saying I said I'd sold it (I didn't I deleted his email) and I have now reduced the price a bit.... I did post a thread about this looney not long ago but it appears to have disappeared along with the site upgrade.
What's with some of these people?
He's reckons he's bought one so why bother keep checking the sale site?
Beware folks, they're not all nice sane people out there driving Landies.......

I nearly choked on my uppers when some bloke wanted to pay for a Truck I had for sale on Glumtree ................ by instalments! I did think of saying I'll accept one instalment of the full asking price - but sometimes I think these people may be a bit under par and its not nice to mock the afflicted.
    cheers,

Not looking forward to dealing with some of these clowns when the Defender goes on the market

I had a guy once do the "instalment" thing. Never again, you end up losing money because it comes in in dribs and drabs, then you don't save it properly and can't then use it for its original intended purpose.
Now or never, all or nothing. Better off waiting in my opinion.

Chops the problems that people think they are doing you a favor by taking it off your hands . Then wait when they don't turn up and you sit around wasting your time.

Yes, I understand what your saying Mario,, there's some right twits out there.

Theyll only be be given one chance,, if they don't turn up, they'll be told not to bother again.
Luckily Im not in a position where I "have" to sell her, so, I can wait and be patient for the right person who will love her well. The reality is, if you book an appointment with someone, be it a business or privately, then you show up, or ring well in advance to cancel

I will give you half of what you are asking for it and I will pick it up this afternoon. That is what I normally get from the gumnuts.
Actually, hang on, some of them ask me to deliver it as well

Might be something to do with Defenders. I had a bloke reckoned he was copper come for a look when I flogged a Deafener years ago and didn't like it when I asked to see his license. "I'm a copper" he said "So you say mate, but I'll still see your license".
Then he screwed me about with a deposit, then there was this problem and that problem and in the end I found out he'd bought another one. I'd only hung on to it for him as he knew someone I knew etc. etc. when I could have sold it immediately for cash to a really pleasant bloke.
    Total idiots some people.
Come to think of it much the same thing happened when selling our Prado so maybe it's just tyre kickers generally!
