I got a bloody Californian parked in my spare shed that's been there now for about 4 years at 90% completed. It come to me for new brakes ( some goose had put oversize shoes with slightly worn drums, don't know how they got it to go together). Know a bloke a few ks up the road with 3 and a half, even the half goes. Mad mate has the same sickness for them as I have for my landies, must dust it off one day
    cheers

1979, a shorty from a Gold Coast Car Rental.
So short it was quirky in reverse etc. Good for stunts. No paperwork at all for the mod as I remember. I was trying to remember how we got rid of it but I can't. Its a blank. Blame THC.

In the latest "Unique Cars" magazine there is an article about a fellow who built a two engined Mini, with the second Mini motor and transaxle mounted in the boot making it 4WD. But because of the orientation of the motor he had to run it backwards, which involved a new cam, narrower con-rods (because they hit lobes on the cam) re plumbing the oil pump, and crank trigger ignition. Runs like a charm.
It sounds like a better proposition than the Twin Moke by Leyland.

I knew a fellow who built a Twini Moke. I saw the body and subframes before the engines installation. He used two front subframes.
    He used two 1275s. .
They took it up to Sunset Country to give it a try out.
Iheard, when they got it back home, they dismantled it. I never heard why.

citroens back to the 1930's were front wheel drive so can drive without the back half of the car there.... they actually made them double ended for fire brigades and emergency services for tight city streets on mountainous areas where they may get "stuck" and unable to turn around.

    bizarre or what.
