Vintage motor cylcle Tassie tour 2017

I have a mate over in Tassie participating in the Vintage motor cycle Tassie tour. He left on the boat with his '56 AJS on Saturday. The tour officially starts on Monday.
I rang him today and he told me sadly there have been some pre tour casualties already. 2 have been airlifted to Hobart , I believe 2 participants with a sidee car went over an embankment or cliff near Ulverstone on the ride and 1 rider has been T boned by a car.
My mate also has a 1927 AJS with side car, but it was not ready for this event. I would have loved to go on this tour with him.

Saw 2 participants today down sth here. A bmw r75 and a pommy bike possibly an old Norton. Great way to see the state☺
The Isuzu 110. Solid and as dependable as a rock, coming soon with auto box😊
The Range Rover L322 4.4.TTDV8 ....probably won't bother with the remap..😈

I think its a 10 day tour? they are not going to Launie, doing the west coast then to Hobart I am lead to believe, I would have loved to go if he had the 1927 running , I could see me in the side car with goggles on, and I could imagine having get out to push it up the hills , but I know I wouldn't have fit in the side car LOL

I spoke to another mate over there yesterday, he wondered what was going on, he said their was an invasion of Mainland registered bikes over there and now he knows why.
