Bandy bandy snake perhaps?
I was doing some earthworks this PM and dug this up. Not deep, about 4 inches.
At first I thought strange worm then remembered blind snakes. Looked it up but found nothing that looked like this.
Bandy bandy snake perhaps?
That looks like a Bandy Bandy also known as Banded Snake, Ringed Snake, Hooped Snake .Its Mostly found in sandy or soft soil areas under slabs of stone, timber or debris. Nocturnal. ( The Observers Book Of Snake And Lizards of Aus)I've seen one on the road up at Maleny..W.
That sounds right. Just googled that name and hatchlings are 170mm long when the come out of the eggs. Thats about the length of this one so it must be just hatched
