We have a real one. But it weighs a tonne. (well maybe not that much, But its danged heavy). And Dad was looking at ways to lighten it.

At some stage, rangie bonnets went from steel to alloy. Why not just put a couple of gas rams on it ?
Bonnet on the 80 Rangie was way too heavy for me..especially as I'm a shortarse. I installed the torsion spring setup from an 89 model and it's now a one handed lift
would be light,, but may flex unnervingly at speed 8O --
