    How to get to Dorrigo?

Hi all. I just purchased another Defender via Carsales.com. It is located in Dorrigo and I was planning to fly up to Coffs on Saturday and get a rental one way to Dorrigo, but it appears that no companies do one way rentals. There is a bus but that seems to run once a day st around 17.30 which is far too late I should be almost back home by then. Anyone got any other options?
    Cheers

You would have to return the rental to Coffs I think as there is little public transport.
Maybe take a friend to help drive both back to Coffs?

Hi travelrover, was thinking about buying that one oh well. I'm based in Coffs there is a bus that goes Coffs to Armidale but I think only weekdays. It is a long drive in a taxi but maybe try the Belligen or Dorrigo taxi service.

    Hey Borch
Sorry about that.. I have been after another 300 TDi for a while. Had a couple in the 90's. will join my TD5 ute and puma shorty :-). Happy camper. Have bought my air ticket so should be in Coffs around 9.45. Maybe the seller will come to the party and meet me at the airport! They are farmers so I guess much is weather dependent.

All good mate, I'm still tyre kicking at the moment. The minster of finance hasn't given the ok yet ;-). Looking really for a TD5. If you do get up to Dorrigo there are a few easy to access waterfalls and it's a good drive. Best of luck

    Hi DiscMick

Yes taking another driver along would be the obvious solution but the logistics (we live in the country and it's an hour and a half trip to Sydney airport on a good day) and cost would out weigh the taxi option at the Coffs end. Also I don't think there are any seats left on the flight, the early flight seems popular :-)

Another option is to fly to Armidale. But you would still need two drivers to return the rental to Armidale and then you could drive the New England Highway back to Sydney.
