And isn't the volume loud on the adds compared to the movies, I am heard at hearing and have the movie set at a certain volume, but whne the ads come on I have to reach for the remote to turn the volume down again.

I rarely watch commercial TV live now because of the ads, and yes they are louder than the programs. Instead I record it and then skip through the ads. It's no wonder the percentage of the population watching live TV is continuing to fall as people switch to the internet or other sources.

We never watch a movie on TV anymore, we stream through Kodi, free (easily covered by our internet data allowance which we have anyway) and totally ad free, and watch what you like whenever you like. Also use it for our favorite TV series for the same reason.
We've also been able to find some great new shows that aren't on Aussie TV.

If we do watch any 'normal' TV we usually record the show on a PVR and fast forward through the ads.

I'm over the adverts.. Have been for a while! Ebay.. Adverts! Gumtree... Adverts that cover the page! YouTube.. Adverts that you now have to watch before you can watch what you want! They say that it's subliminal advertising.... Well, the last thing I'd buy is something off the TV!!! Never use Ebay now, occasionally use Gumtree, but not often, and rarely use YouTube all due to the adverts. Hate them, and often send snotty emails to the companies who 'over do' it on TV!

Explanation of Kodi boxes. Bare ones are legal. It may be illegal to load certain programs to it.

Yeah but its only $10 a month. The other option for SBS is SBS on demand. You get a couple of 30second ads but that's it.

Don't watch much TV anymore because of the amount of ads they play. Watching "Sunrise" yesterday and in one ad break I counted 12 ads and 1 self promo in one break. Most annoying. Anyrate who wants to watch endless reruns of cooking shows, building shows, married at first sight...........UGH!!!!!!

Commercial radio is just as bad. Particularly the ads for a certain tile retailer. Thankfully I have a good selection of music on the iPods , and when I do put the radio on , it is set to a local community station. Promos are only relevant to those listening. Too bad community tv has bitten the dust.

Don't mind the Three Zeds occasionally, mate, and the J's intermittently although they seem to have been taken over by the current trending "Homosexual Renaissance."
