We're back from the high country

Had a great trip car and trailer preformed faultlessly, we camped the first night at Woods reserve in the ACT then headed to Tom Groggan and up the Davies High Plains track to Davies Hut (steep 8O ) then to Buckwong Hut for the night.
Next morning we headed to Sheepyards Flat for 4 nights meet Ray (hiline) and his lovely wife and kids on our last night there and had a good night of talking and about stuff, thanks Ray.

Also bumped into Henry (greylandy) at Lake Cobbler, small world eh.

Timbarra River was our next port of call to meet up with friends on the 29th and celebrated new year there, then to Swifts Creek for 3 nights and a 2 day trip home, at each place we did day trips from Cathy Savage & Craig Lewis book of high country treks, we completed 6 from the book and did a couple of our own.

Great time was had by all,

    Baz.
    Cheers Baz.

Thanks Mahn, we did find a couple of directional mistakes in the Camp Oven Gap Trek and the Haunted Stream but not too bad, i think mostly because of changing track condition mostly with the haunted stream as there is logging going on at the moment, and in the case of Camp Oven track the first part from Camp Oven Gap is not a well used track at all, i think we were the first to do it in a couple of years going on the condition of the track with fallen trees.

Welcome back, glad to see you had an enjoyable holiday.

That book is indeed excellent, we based our trip last year on it.
