It is known as "Chain Of Responsibility" (COR)

If my truck is illegally loaded and I have an incident this is the list of people who can be prosecuted.

The company who are loading the freight.
The person who loads my truck.
Me.
The person/ company who has ordered the freight.
And any one else involved in the consignment.

Having said this, I was recently reading a trucking magazine where there was a story on COR
and they said that as yet there has not been such a prosecution, despite the laws being around for many years now.

Let's hope he isn't taking it to his boat.

I've been on logging roads in the Snowy mountains NSW , and having a normally loaded log truck thundering down a narrow steep down hill road is pretty scary at the best of times, but If approached by something like that, you would cack yourself me thinks.
