    Water in fuel

My cousin filled his two year old Kluger just before Anzac day. Got far enough to get out onto the main road and the obvious happened...it died. Had it flat trayed to a repairer who removed and drained the tank, flushed out the fuel lines, pump and injectors and away it went. Running perfectly. I was under the impression that water through the system was terminal. Wrong....again, luckilly. Jim

a few weeks ago (after all our floods) I was about to fill up at my usual servo , drove in , suddenly realised that the servo had been under water a few days and quickly drove straight through.

there were plenty of customers filling up but I wasn't game to....

I'm just wondering when or if I should go back there.....there's plenty of other servos that didn't flood near me.

Depends on the vehicle and fuel type, if it was a common rail diesel it would have been all over and big bucks to fix.
