The person who owned my house before me just painted the walls and ceiling in renters beige - all good (beige ceilings and walls actually looks good) but they also spot painted the stained wood door frames and skirting boards - not good. In other places they just painted the stained wood - brown - again not good.

Care and preparation counts a lot.

    I'm with you EEvo.

My neighbours repainted the inside of their house(themselves) just before they sold it.

The new owner, who is a painter immediately repainted the inside of the house. He said just couldn't look at it.

    Hi Eevo,

To answer your question i just had my house painted. Cost 22k. He painted Inside and Out. We had roof sealed and painted, carport, driveway and paths. and every wall you could see including back fence. I think this price was reasonable considering all the factors.

That is what it looks like now. We owned the house for near on 20 years. I am not a painter but I have painted every wall in that house probably more than once. If anyone remembers the Blue/Yellow phase about 10 years back. WTF was I thinking. We replaced the coke bottle glass with lead light and painted all the mission brown a gloss blue and the walls yellow. I then had kids and painted a pink room, blue room and yeah then I got creative and painted feature walls with suede affects. I was a master. But to do it properly you need time and patience. Of which I have no time.

    So Eevo food for thought.

No, but in Brissie we do have a ratdog and a boarder. The Maleny house has two grandkids, two dogs, four chooks and an unknown number of possums, lizards and bushrats. The dogs were banished and the grandkids put to work painting their own rooms.

Not bad for a $140 a night motel.

A bit like my garage , only $40 a night! Maybe there is some app , download for 3D glasses or something that will give the illusion of a new paint job ?
