MoveLater2 Excel problem - calculation is incomplete

    Hi

Wife has been working on file at home.....catching up on work.

We are on excel 2010 and it's not allowing her to save the document. Comes up with Calculation is incomplete. Recalculate before saving.

I searched the net without much luck, well without much understanding. It appears to be an issue going between version of excel.

She has no idea what version the work doc is in.

I only dabble... but should be able to work out source version file via the properties tab, or at very least the file extension (.xls , .xlsx, etc). There will usually be warnings if you open a older file in a newer version of excel or vice versa.

Another trick is to use the error check function in the formulas tab, or the evaluate formula if you know what cell might be in error.

Try turning off autocalc and see if that works. If not, with it off go into each sheet and calculate the sheet. From what I have read that may help, sorry if it does not.

Yep, properties tan will tell you version. Should also be in the window if you just select it.

    How big is the spreadsheet?

How many lines and columns? Big data set with multiple tabs?

Reason I ask is it can get rather tedious if you can't find the error easily enough.

If it is a compatibility issue then you should be able to own it as an old file. Can't recall how though, but I am sure it's there!

Not sure Joe..I didn't look at the file

Single tab I think.....it looked a very basic spreadsheet. I tried copying the data to a new file but the issue followed.

She is all smiles at the moment.

Will see how tomorrow pans out.

Weeds, I'm betting its an XLSM file (has a macro).

Security settings on Macros can cause this problem.
