You were lucky. The ARC here in Vic don't have a sense of humour about that stuff. Well, nobody here in Vic seem to have a sense of humour about much at all, so shrug...

My daughter had a brand new Rav 4, all wheel drive. It devoloped a gearbox issue so she returned to the dealer for rectification. After admitting she had taken it on the beach she was told the warranty would not be honoured as it was not a four wheel drive.
I will quote her verbatum "I suggest you turn around on your fancy swivel chair and look at that big picture of two Ravs on a beach. maybe you'd like to reconsider."
They fixed it. [biggrin]
