Guys, it's just key word recognition, if they actually can be bothered.. You give messenger permission to access your photos and microphone because you need to use them in the app, like to make calls through messenger and attach photos, the same reason you give facebook the permission to post your photos on your behalf. This means that you allow facebook to post your photos on your page or pages you manage or participate in.
Most of the advertising targeting is through what you post on social media. There are very clever people in the world who write very clever software to pick up the sort of things you mostly write or post about.

So don't use the words 'hot', 'Asian' or 'girls' and you should be fine. 😀
