Pedal power under sail- what a spin. Well Done NZ

    Aussies stack the comp

With an Aussie captaining in both the US and NZ boat how could we loose

A spin class at sea moving most of the crew from formally beefed up upper body of lads and ladies to chunky legged bike riders. The world is cool place.

Well done Bendigo Capt Glenn Ashby

I've watched a fair bit of this off & on as I sailed a bit in younger days & am amazed at the boat speed attained relative to apparent wind. To be consistently hitting 30-40 knots is wonderful. I can only imagine what it's like.
    Well done Kiwis.

I'm not surprised that craft like the America's Cup contenders are using foils, but I find this one quite a surprise.

On the deck of a warship at 40 knots was both awe inspiring and a touch scary. Driving at 100km in our Discos, Differs or Rangies is like a rocking chair. Do the same in a go cart and you know your living on the wild side.

Those speeds on the boats they use would feel off the planet and then some. My faster sailing speeds was about 12 knots maxed out in Tasar or possibly a little faster in a cat.
