I like the low concrete edge, NOT!

I remember years ago, a guy going across Fortesque bridge, single lane, and an HQ sedan going otherway, decided to pick on the truck, discovered that a HQ and an R600 Mack towing 3 can pass on the bridge...

It took a crow bar to open car doors and for some reason the wheels where out of alignment...

John, I have seen, driven and thoroughly enjoyed the result...

    W-model, and tri trailer...
I purchased all the chrome steel I could cart from a mine, for $2,000...
So I loaded it all on and took off... Truck was soft on the corrugations and wandered a bit, but it drove fine...
Unloaded half at a mates place then drove into Perth and unloaded the first half at a scrappies...

First half went 29 tonnes, next went 24 tonnes...

My bank balance was pretty good for a few months...

Truck had KW wedge block suspension, first time that it was smooth on the bumps...

It pulled better than having 2 stock crates on, less drag...

That's a Fisho's trick. We Tug people are far more diligent.

Once I was towing a hopper full of mud from Botany to the spoil ground 10NM E of South Head (Sydney). The tow was at 200 Meters. A Fishing Boat, lit up like a Christmas tree was heading straight for the middle of it at 15 Knots. Call him many times on the radio. Nothing. Put the search light on the Wheel House windows. Nothing. Put the search light on the MESS ROOM windows 10 Seconds later he changed course dramatically, at less than a Hundred meters off. Italy were playing someone in the World Cup.
