    whats with the wires

    seen a couple of pics of defenders on the site recently with cables from the roof rack to the bullbar, I'll ask the stupid question, what are they for?

    I thought they were brush guards to keep the pesky lianas at bay.

    I thought they were to watch Galahs get sliced in half on those long drives out west to keep you awake, or if you get stuck somewhere at least you can play a tune to while away the time.

    As others have pointed out they are for deflecting branches and wires strung across the road so they don't break the windscreen. I believe they are illegal in all states because of their likely effect on pedestrians.

    Yep they are for stopping branches and general tree stuff from hitting the windscrean but also stop branches whipping you around the face when you have the window open.
