    R.I.P. Martin Landau

Martin Landau: Oscar-winning actor and Mission: Impossible star dies aged 89 - ABC News (Australian Broadcasting Corporation)

"Mission Impossible" and "Space 1999" were two of my favourite TV series.

"North by Northwest" and "Ed Wood" are two of my favourite movies.

I have these on DVD and am currently watching Mission Impossible.

Martin will be sorely missed on the big screen, small screen and stage.

Oh, if you haven't already, watch "Plan 9 from Outer Space" and "Ed Wood" back to back.

    R.I.P. Martin.

I had to Google him. I don't remember him in North by Northwest nor Mission: Impossible. I assume the latter was the Peter Graves series.

Peter Graves wasn't in MI until season 2. Martin (and his wife Barbara Bain) were in seasons 1, 2 & 3. Martin played Rolin Hand (the master of deception) and Barbara played Cinamon Carter.

In North by Northwest, Martin played Leonard, the No2 to James Mason (the villain Vandamm). He was the nasty piece of work who was standing on Cary Grants fingers when he was hanging on Mt Rushmore.

His role in Ed Wood was fantastic and the original Plan 9 from Outer Space which I saw at the old Valhalla in Glebe brings back many funny memories

Never heard the description of "easy on the eye" being mentioned in the same sentence as "Barry Morse".

You should watch Gerry and Sylvia Anderson's earlier series, "UFO".

Loved "Space 1999". Wanted an Eagle. 12":1' scale.
