Puma Premium Diesel Scam
Pulled in to fill up at a nearby Puma service station. The regular diesel price was advertised on the signboard out the front but only after I'd filled half my tank did I realise that I was pumping "Pumamax" premium diesel for several cents per litre more. I fill up at this station fairly often and they only have one type of diesel at all the pumps along with the usual array of unleaded fuels. They must have only recently changed all the bowsers over to the new product so I looked and looked and could not see regular diesel - as advertised on the big sign - ANYWHERE. When I went in to pay I asked exactly where was the regular diesel that they were advertising out the front. The guy said it was around the side, at the truck bowser.
My mate who has been working there posted on Facebook that he was fed up with having to deal with a lot of cranky customers recently. Now I understand why. It feels like an absolute rip-off that a service station would only put their premium product at all of the front of house bowsers but advertise the cheaper product that is only on a single bowser behind the building.
