Trying not to think about food

12 hours into a 36 hour fast (clear liquid only) ahead of a couple of "oscopys" tomorrow midday and im ready to drop. Thats on top of a low residue diet since Tuesday. I have three sachets of poo powder to look forward to as well between now and 9.30 am tomorrow. I've just had some Bovril for lunch, mmmmmmm......
Im that hungry i could eat the Dog. (Maybe not)
    cheers,
    D

    Hmmm........

Two sachets, hey? How many litres of that salty water do you have to down in what time?

    Good luck.

Oh! A couple of oscopys? Gastro and colon?
Which will they do first? Will you care?

I hope they've improved the taste of that **** drink!

I was tempted to put up the menu for dinner here tonight but I'm not that much of a bastard.

I hope the outcome of the crack cam/throat cam is all good for you.

I was doing reasonably ok until I cooked dinner for the Mrs and the smell has driven me a bit insane.
    Thanks for the thoughts.

I've been through the same procedure twice now but strangely the fasting didn't bother me at all. Maybe because the Cook has been trying to make me fat and unattractive I just lived off stored energy (fat) until afterwards.
Hope the tests all go well for you.

I do this procedure every couple of years, so I know what you're talking about with the fasting & taking the "medicine" etc.
Last time I did it, the medicine/mixture didn't work properly, so the camera couldn't see anything, so I had to come back in a week or so & do it again, for which appointment they gave me a DOUBLE dose of the "medicine",....Not good!

never been so pleased to see a piece of bread

Well I never thought I would get so emotional over a beef and letteuce sandwich.
All good at the exam today and once back in recovery I was brought said Sandwich, tea, orange juice, a couple of crackers and a piece of cheese. I welled up - I hadnt eaten anything solid in 48 hours. For those of you who have to go through this more than once , you have my respect.
    Thanks for the thoughts.
