Club or historic rego in Vic.

Folks, what club(s) are you in to get your rego on Historic plates? I would like to get them for the SIII. Or, should I just form one of my own. I'm assuming AULRO membership doesn't count.

You could join the LROCV or find a club that is non denominational , ie any eligible is accepted.I have joined a local club that has bikes, rods, muscle cars etc and membership is only $25/year.
Formed just for those that wanted club reg.

$25! The local 4WD club up here wants a $55 joining fee + $100 PA, which is cheap compared to LROC, which want $70 + $150 PA. I'll keep hunting.

Just join your local all marques car club if you have one That way you might get to see an interesting variety of cars turn up. I'm a member of a small local car club in ballarat. Like you mention ... about a dozen people ... but a great bunch of people. In our little club we have land rovers, renaults, citroens, massive ford fairlane convertible (where the lid hides in the boot), 1940's ford hotrod coupes, suzuki 4wds.... A wide variety of tastes, with the common interest of "driving and tinkering with cars".

The victorian system is nothing short of brilliant. I have been a member of the big Melbourne based car clubs for decades. they have turned into " wine and dinner" type clubs where a lot turn up in modern plastic crap.

I, too, am a member of a small car club in Ballarat. Not the same one as Shane.
Similar origins and purposes as the one Nick is a member of.

Find a small club in your local area. The big ones can be very political and you subsidise a lot of things other members use.

Yep, keep looking. LROCV also charge $10 per year per vehicle on club reg as well....

Our small club is $25 a year with a $50 joining fee. There is a list of VicRoads approved clubs on the VicRoads website - start calling a few in your area and see what they say.

    Here's a link - Approved vehicle clubs & associations : VicRoads
If you need to contact me please email homestarrunnerau@gmail.com - thanks - Gav.
