    Native bees make no noise.
I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

Correct Bob, that is why we can not understand why it was done. I think they just did not like them in the tree. The person who complained about the noise was told they were silent. Can only think they took a dislike to them.
    All the best,

Discovered today that the hive we rescued on Saturday is under attack from Phorid Fly.......tiny little flies that can destroy a hive.

Set two fly traps and have a spray to apply to the outside of the box.

Hopefully the little bees survive he attack

    Native Bees

10 days ago before leaving for Fraser Island I peaked in and there were less flies but maggot were present.....figured they wouldn't survive the 10 days I was away.

Had a look today, no flies, no maggot and they are creating structure and have make one honey pot.

Still cautious about the flies returning so will leave the fly traps in place.

Soooo glad its turned out in the bees favour.

I think the top honey part of the hive is called the super. Looking forward to splitting mine which is on holiday down at Uki.
I remember trying some when I was a kid out at Samford, in amongst the malaleuca flowers and it wasn't all that sweet, but almost a lemony tang to it.
