Yup spill the beans , whats it like, who and are they a good mob?
Well, I should of applied for that job, all those years back, haha
Would wanna be a good job! :)
Oh I here you there! Don't think I could be away from the kids that much, but then again, a stress free and easier job would be rather nice! No customers to deal with! Good luck with it:)
Just contract work not full time, hence should of applied for the full time....easier than 28/28 in PNG on the kids, they don't live with me anyway, haha, but I might still go back on the international circuit
Its actually easier with the kids, find I spend more quality time with them when I have them as opposed to just doing the daily routine....plus like heading bush this xmas/new years, is dramatically easier without the mum, haha
Yeah thats awesome, well if you can get on there fulltime that would be great!
Been thinking of this myself (not offshore though) and was offered a spot on one of the tanami mines, just not sure i could do it yet.
Be no full-time stuff for a long time, this is Protection relay work, specialist field type stuff, so we come in, as for full time, the oil patch is very much on the down turn, thanks to the saudi's dumping the price.......notice bowser price is not reflected as strongly though:(
Dudes still ticking away, at home, which is good, few big projects to finish up
Pro's and Con's to it all, whats the roster on job offer? and coin?
Thought you were relocating?
Not strictly Saudis to blame - combination of soft worldwide demand for oil due to sluggish economy and fuel economy measures, plus massive increases in USA production capacity due to onshore shale oil, and Saudis not cutting back thier production to prop up the price.
The Saudis are taking this route probably for two reasons - firstly, they can't afford to do so, and secondly, they are hoping to bankrupt the USA producers - which might work, but won't stop the production from the USA wells in the short term.
So don't expect an upturn in the oil industry any time soon.
