This is from the All British Day Brisbane 2017 website under Rules.
According to their rules the Volvo P1800 should be allowed in, or at least the early ones, which were built by Jensen, under part B. I believe my Father in law had this argument with the organisers years ago, when he wanted to display his P1800, so things haven't changed much.
Cheers,
Mick.
Hi Mick, This was a few years back when ABD was held at the Wool-shed. The Rover Car Club were running the day for the RR Club & they had the final word. I was in charge of the crew on the day & put up an argument for him with the RR Club but they wouldn't budge . It would seam that the rules are a little different now . Did you see the Pink Falcon on the British Ford display. I was talking to a friend who was on organizing the day , he wasn't happy & wanted to know how it had got in.

So does that mean that a Tata built in India could get into the All British Day under H because Tata owns JLR, a British company?
Also, Tata Steel UK is a British company.
lucas electrics........
What a bunch of tossers.... If I was running anything ... and there was the physical space available ..... I'd let any classic car in .... Gee's we're all lovers and tinkerers of old cars .... Sure you might find the falcon as appealing as a bag of vomit ... But bringing in outside interest is always good. Obviously other marques wouldn't be encouraged as it is a brittish car event.... But if you had 1/2 dozen members arrive is "other" cars ...... Is it the end of the world ?
This is why the "cars and coffee" type events have been so popular ... all of the control freaks in various car clubs have no say in what anyone and everyone else can do ... So you end up with a spectacular variety and range of vehicles turn up.

Yes Wayne, it would have been the early nineties I believe, he didn't miss out completely, he was still able to show his Game. I wonder if the rules have been written since then, I don't think they could turn him away now if he referred to their rules. Yes I saw the pink chook tin, I am not sure what sub clause that came under, maybe someone put a Pommy motor in it. It was hideous.
Cheers,
Mick.
