Here is the definitive answer Wayne,

C. Partially built in the UK and exported to another country for completion usingadditional components sourced from either the UK or the importing country

G. A subsequent version, of a UK designed and or built vehicle, designed and builtin another country
H. Designed and/or built in another country by a company now owning a companythat was originally UK based and/or owned.
This is from the All British Day Brisbane 2017 website under Rules.
According to their rules the Volvo P1800 should be allowed in, or at least the early ones, which were built by Jensen, under part B. I believe my Father in law had this argument with the organisers years ago, when he wanted to display his P1800, so things haven't changed much.
Cheers,
Mick.
