    I don't think it's restricted to the young.....the young are silly enough to agree to being filmed.

    I don't think it's restricted to the young any more than I think all young are doing it, but it is predominately a problem with the age groups who have most of the prangs and the least experience.

    Very true that , but there have been plenty of times were I have witnessed near accidents by drivers of up market vehicles intent on talking into there plate sized devises or truck drivers going up through the gears while juggling their phones. It would seem more likely that if in a vehicle that costs so much , hands free would be a given. So in a way it seems a bit harsh to come down more often than not on the kid in the old bangers.

    People who text/hand hold their phones are usually easy to spot, their ability to stay in a lane and keep to an even speed more resembles that of a drunk. Even speaking on a hands free can be a hazard as your attention is diminished by processing the call. But for those people who think they are good at talking and driving, there are some pretty cheap hands free solutions out there. This is the one that I bought:

    I still make sure that callers are aware that I'm likely to just ignore them if I need to concentrate on the road instead.
