Aussie Muscle Car Values "on the up"?

Just noticed on AMCS a Phase 111 at $650K,...haven't seen one at that level for a while (not bad for a car that cost $5200 in 1971!), also a road going L34 Torana for $285K which is the dearest one I've ever seen.
A couple of others of mention that I've heard of around the traps, $150K for a VL Group A Plus Pack, and low klm VN Group As nudging $200K.
There's a big Holden Dealer (D'Alberto Holden) Auction happening in April, (Echuca I think) where there is a large collection of collectible Holdens,.... this will give a good indication of where values are going. A friend of mine has his eye on one car there, not 100% confident of being the winning bidder, but He's already booked his accommodation!

They're still increasing, even in this uncertain economic climate.
A recent Shannons Auction had an UNRESTORED XY Falcon GT sold for $350K + buyers premium. It was NOT a Phase 111. Not bad for a car that sold new for $4700 in 70/71.
Traders in these cars are making very good dollars, which at this stage, are tax free.
Mind you, I've never done any good on this sort of thing myself,...sold our 13K "new condition" A9X sedan around 1984/5 for $13K,..took me a while to find a buyer too,...it would now be worth at least $400K,....if it was a hatch, well "the sky's the limit"!
Strangely enough, it's the Aussie cars that are making the dollars, IMHO much better value can be had with American Muscle.

The same thing happened the last time the Aussie $ was this low. The Yanks love Falcons and early Holdens as it's a familiar driveline in a "look at me" body style.
