Unwritten rule in Queensland, no dramas up to and including 100k but get caught at 101 and you get done for 11 over.
If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.

If you do get done, Ian, do they defect the truck?

There's always stories here (WA) in the local rag about Indian Ocean Drive being dangerous because of the accident/death rate. But it's not the road and no amount of millions thrown at it in "improvements" will stop the idiots killing themselves and others.
Not so long ago the Cook and I were heading north up the IOD and passed a cop who was writing a ticket for a driver of a red Camry and not 20 minutes later this same car came past us over double whites less than a 100 metres before a totally blind right hander!
Nothing is going to stop idiots like this or the bloke who very recently got booked for the 8th time of driving while under suspension/restricted license .....and booked for being under the influence of drugs.

Had a p plate navara 4wd spanker on the Hume saturday approaching the ring road southbound

Im in the right lane about to pass a Semi him about 99 km/h me about 104 km/h and this spanker come`s flying up behind me flicks into the left lane up the butt of the semi then puts his R/indicator on even tho there was no room for him he proceeded to merge right

Now i could just read what this tool was going to do and the nasty thought`s i was thinking just got out weighed by my moral conscience of attending the coroners court

So i braked heavily and received the bird for my moral conscience

Yeah i know what i should or could have done but honestly i wanted to make it home safely as i do every trip .
I see these tools every day but im sure as hell im going to make it home safely

Brisbane and Sydney Fish Markets. Wouldn't be a good look with the rear trailer doors open and tubs of fish getting passed out at places along the highway.

I dunno. Seems like I've seen it before with a meatworks truck.

It seems fuel is the thing of choice these days , got approached at the IOR on the way down and back to see if I wanted to swap some cash for diesel. I was amazed at how brazen some people are.

Truth be known its been going on for ages its just that part time drivers like me don't drive enough to experience it.

Back on topic, the country could save a fortune in paint and line marking as no one seems to know what double white lines mean. Maybe they don't teach it any more.

    Cheers Ean
