It sounds like the person who did the original quote isn't familiar with the Defender :roll: or if a repairer, is trying to make big money out of the job.


Take it to a reputable Landy mechanic and get another quote. Ring the Landy wreckers and price 2nd hand doors, wings etc. Leave it to someone else and they will charge as much as they can.

my 95 model defender over the phone was insured for $11.000 until i took it in for them to see all the accessorys


so now its insured for $ 16.000 is that agreed or what.

but i guess the value will go down as they do
