    Edit: apparently in the wild Ostriches can live between 30 and 40 years, and up to 70 in captivity - so this Ostrich may have been released back in the 1980s.

    I remember reading "Mysterious Australia" by Rex Gilroy. Looks like the next updated edition will need to include a section on ostrich sightings.
