The other forum isn't helped by the views of the Overlander Editor who bags the D3 TDV6 in his editorial in the latest edition because the car stopped due to snow build-up in the air intake during a blizzard.

A snorkel would have prevented the problem. You don't see him bagging toymotas or missins when they drown after driving into metre deep water, when a snorkel might have saved the day also!

I suppose at the end of the day, the mag is there to make money. The demographics show that the predominant reader drives a Patrol. If you want to keep making money, you have to kowtow to your main market.

The Overlander Editor seems really likes the current crop of Landies. The only one that I've not heard him speak about is the Freelander.

Triton is similar to Navara, and the MBZ Vito (we call it the bang bus from one guys NYE adventures) has just hit 900,800 in 5 years - serviced every 20,000 kms, its a 2l CRDi turbo motor.
