I suppose I am a bit spoilt as I get access to the RFS restricted area of the BOM site, although theres plenty of info on the standard site, just some of it is a bit hidden.

Some very welcome rain falling here at the moment.

    Let it rain

On the odd occasion that I watch Landline on ABC TV I see maps like this:

Found readily on the Elders site.

I can't find this on the BOM site :?

    Mahn,

Look under climate (in the menu bar at the top of the page) then Australian maps ans go from there.

    eg http://www.bom.gov.au/cgi-bin/climate/rain...3month&area=aus

If you go to Hydrology you can get river levels and rainfall for river guages across the country handy if you are planning a trip.

    Hi,
When living in NQ, the BOM site was on everyones faves list during cyclone season. Now that I am living in Gods toilet and at the risk of running foul of public opinion, bring on global warming I say!
I look forward to the day I can wear a cardigan 8O instead of thermals when riding to work.

When too much weather is never enough... just depends on the type.
