Which car?
Yes folks after two years and numerous repairs I have actually found a repair that does not require the removal of several other non related parts from places that are just a s awkward as the one that you wan`t to remove. I`m impressed. Had to replace the serpentine belt and pulley and it was a easy job. kept thinking whilst performing this not so delicate procedure that it must go pear shape some time, but no all went well. The lets make that task a mongrel department of land rover slipped up big time and missed a golden opportunity.

SupporterYeah! that department really dropped the ball on some parts of the cooling system there.(300 tdi here)
I remember replacing my thermostat housing bleed bung and rad cap bung .. and it amazed me that I didn't have to remove the air con and degass it, and have to regas it again just to do those two bungs.
Although they didn't make it too easy with the original bungs tho .. some useless plastic material that had the tensile strength of wet tissue, so that a socket of the correct size just rounded the plastic hex pattern, which made it harder to cobble up a new tool to grip the plastic.
Arthur.
All these discos are giving me a heart attack!

I changed a TF Magna fuel filter yesterday,I'm really glad the engineers fitted it at the bottom of the tank with fiddly fitting so I got drenched in petrol by to the time I got the stupid thing replaced, and all the inlet pipe work and manifold removed to change the plugs,or the V6 Grand Vitara that has 2mm of clearance for the oil filter,or my V8 Cruiser that needed the front end removed to change a headlight globe. 2.8 hilux; radiator had to be removed to get the fan off its pulley.
That is the one that i can remember, but there were others in the 2day debacle that was the timing belt.
