I once saw a computer whose screen saver was a flickering campfire. It went for about 10 minutes before repeating, from memory.

Well I am enjoying it, it has been on nearly all day, I am not siting watching just when I pass. I didn't watch it the other night. I liked seeing it go through Alice and I loved the train station, well what there was of it.

I watched it for over an hour, before I realised I had inadvertently hit the "pause" button, ha,ha.

That's the way the ratings systems work, time watching a program. So if someone were to start watching, and then just leave it on all day (as Mrs Vlad did) ' it would shows as that person watching 17 hours of SBS TV !

Which is great for ratings BUT if they don't have ads during it, it's of no real use to the station is it ??

I have to say that the scenery was so unvarying and the complete lack of ANYTHING to see of real interest entirely put me off ever booking a Ghan trip at the prices asked. So likely counterproductive for the railway....
It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".

It was those fun time Norwegians who pioneered this type of tv. With a train over there. Was a article in the Saturday Sun newspaper. Apparently over 20% of the population tuned in. Not that it is so surprising as they also got a good turn out for the wood chopping and also a knitting show.Norway must be thigh slapping good times place. Then again I dispute there claim to pioneering slow tv. Remember fish cam on channel 31 ? That was way before the Norwegians.

Much as I like the desert, I think I still prefer Maleny Cow Cam.
