Not me directly, but my wallet has been fatally injured.
Actually I can't really blame the car. I closed my little finger in the door the other day, felt sick and nearly passed out! Happened while waiting for a pizza at my local eating precinct, I staggered around like a drunk, people must've thought I'd been drinking in one of the restaurants for hours and was going to drive home! Must be getting soft in my old age, as I've done worse injuries on building sites when I was younger.
Not me directly, but my wallet has been fatally injured.
If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.
It wasn't my Land Rover, but I was driving it at the time.
I was standing beside it, leaning against the end of the windscreen (A pillar?). I slammed the door shut with my other hand with my thumb between the door and the A pillar.
Luckily it was a Series IIA and the door wasn't stiff enough to cause any real pain.
The embarrassment at having trapped my own thumb in the door was much more of an issue than the pain.
In fact, I don't suppose it constitutes an injury unless you count injured pride.![]()

I've had numerous cuts, bruises and bumps working on mine over the years. Grazing knuckles us about as bad as it's got though as I take precautions when crushing injuries etc are possible.
Mine may not recover , ive just had an emergency repair performed - DSC / ACE lines replaced , Land Rover have sent me a survey .....One of the questions is ....
" When you purchase /finance your next LR product ? "
My wife is contemplating murdering me .
Still, the repair was only the equivalent of two months repayments on a new Land Rover !
Mine gave me a heart attack...
Well ain`t this a apt thread. At the moment sporting the latest look in head gashes. Mostly on the mend now. On the evening of the Friday the fifth I was trying to ease of the lower radiator hose from the radiator. I was as usual being at home being a bit lax. I was using a length of 30mm tube. Yes of course the tube slipped, but I was able to stop any damage to the Disco with my forehead. Amazing how much blood was produced, considering it was not that big a cut, for the next few minutes till I got a bandage sorted. Hmm guessing it was oh about 30mm long. At the point now that I have forgotten that it is still there, until I was out getting take away and wondered why the young lad was having trouble making eye contact. Then it dawned on me he was busy checking out the head wound. This has been the worst injury, as posted scraped knuckles, minor cuts etc and one burn that must have been reasonable as it still comes to mind.
Cheers Hall
No real physical injuries but it's caused a few mental scars.
