Hey Jamo, how do you find the exhaust jacks??

The exhaust jack was fantastic until i bought the D3!

I went to use it one day when I was bogged only to discover that the two exhaust pipes are linked somewhere! :x When I put the inlet over one pipe, the exhaust simpley all went out the other! ops:

So now I'll have to make a cover for the other pipe!

personally i got rid of mine as it scared me too much with all that energy (i mainly used it in mud and ruts) i stick to a standard rope or winching.
never really been in sand, as there is not a lot of that in the uk.
Yes. A snatch strap is named after a brand 'Snatch-em'. Correctly named they are a kinetic energy strap.

I met a seasoned beach fisherman (Datto driver) only the other day who told me that his car weighed less than 3500kg, therefore it was totally safe to use the towball for snatching. When I told him that the strap may store energy the equivalent of three or more times that he scoffed.

It is just TOO DANGEROUS to go out without having solid recovery points on you vehicle no matter how "unboggable" you think your particular vehicle may be.
So does ours to a degree. All clubs should have this policy in place for there own safety and club participants.

I run regular trips with the QLD RRC and I demand that people have recovery gear and points. No points, no go
