Thin edge of the wedge has killed a lot . Mandatory helmet laws have killed cycling ( check studies ) fun , more clubs showcasing live original music are coming down , even the wording of a national anthem have been changed . When I am told listening to rock n roll is no longer allowed , I will willingly toe up.

the place is still growing and won't be going under any time soon
subscription rates are going up, steadily and there was not the big decline the naysayers predicted.
thats why i have been able to remove some adverts for higher subscription levels and been able to alter some permissions for non subscribers.
yes it is a PIA i had to change something, but i will work around it as i have in the past and the sun will continue to rise
the big reason for the cost of this place is the size of database storing the info and the amount of data that goes down the pipe to over 191 countries last time i looked. very few forums have nearly 20 years of data being tossed around.
if you compare weekly or monthly activity here to one of the largest boards in the UK you will see that this place is 3 times as active in nearly all sectors
rarely is there under 1000 users on here at anyone time these days, 2/3rds are not logged in
in peak hours there can be a tad under 2500 here at once.
it's doing okay and will continue to do so
cheers

I know it is not everyone`s fix to the Problem but the obvious fix as i see it and if it is with in adhence rules.
Why not put The On Target in Current Affairs will that work ?
Pretty sure he would get upset if I referred to him as she.
They and them are plural. This (close) or that (a distance away) person are a bit too formal. Sh/im is gender ambiguous. Nope, he's a he.
As a former refugee of Chinese descent from Malaysia I don't think he's too keen on gender neutral stuff - he likes being male.
We have a closed "current affairs section", would a closed subscriber to "only on target section" fix the problem, it is not able to be viewed by the general public?
