Lorella Springs, Has anyone been there?

I have watched a couple of the All4Adventure shows that were shot at Lorella Springs and it looks to be a Top place to visit.
I'm wondering if anyone here has been there and can offer some advice about the place, Like is it as "Flogged out" like much of the areas off the Gibb river road

    Gday!

We stayed at Lorella Springs for a few days in 2016. It is fantastic - could have stayed for a few weeks, but time didn't permit.
Good facilities on a massive property that campers can visit/camp in any part of. Goes all the way to the coast, so the fishing is good too.
There are canoes provided at some waterholes (check for crocs) and a few hot springs to swim in, which were a godsend to us in November!
The whole Limmen area is beautiful, I am planning to go back for sure.
Lorella gets pretty busy in peak season and the corrugations on the road in were mental!
It's a bit pricey from memory, but I guess the folks up there only have a certain window to make a living.
It's a bit like a more down to earth El Questro, without the hi end accommodation and fifo crowd.
Go there, you won't regret it.
    Cheers,
    Col

    Pretty well ditto.
We visited way back in about 2014.
The 42Km? road in was so bad that Bushtracker was internally damaged by the microwave falling out onto the floor and another offroad caravan was also damaged.
When we were there the showers were hilarious as they were heated by on old radiator placed in a copper. I think this has been improved.
The hot spring is great and your skin gets nibbled by the sunfish, which you pay for in Bali.

Although 4x4 probably don't care about such things, I found some of the tracks (to the Gorge?) to be worrying as they had done "Territory burn offs" and there were lots of stakes sticking up which deterred me from being too adventurous. The track to the coast has since been made, but it is a long way AFAIR more than 50Kms , so fuel range can become an issue as the nearest fuel is/was Borroloola.
I would go back to see how it has developed since becoming popular.
    Regard sPhilip A

It's on our wish list for the Big Lap next year.
We will be ambling over the corrugations with the camper trailer in tow.

I found this link to the website that is pretty informative.
Gulf Region Accommodation & Camping | Lorella Springs Wilderness Park
It's a bit outdated (2016) so I am not sure what the current fees are But $120 a week sounds to be Very reasonable compared to what most of the areas off the Gibb river road are charging.

We stayed at Lovells springs for around 1 week in 2016. While we were there we had mixed feelings but in hindsight it was a very special place and we would like to go back. When we stayed the Station had been through a dry wet so a lot of the springs and waterholes were low or dry however some of the waterholes that we visited were some of the very best that we have seen. We travelled 80km out to the ‘secret fishing hole’ which was full on 4WDing. Our D4 and Topaz II handled the track very well but it was full-on 4WD for most of the 80ks. When we reached the destination it was just wonderful camping and fishing and very very remote. When we went there very little in the way of park management and very little advice on fishing or camping spots. The young lad at the office told us to make sure that we pumped our tyres up to 45psi to handle the rough and sandy tracks?????? - just opposite to what we know should be done. The place is remarkable but there is very little emphasis or respect for any aboriginal art or artefacts. One got the feeling that they were embroiled in a few native title claims - only presuming here. We loved the place and will return but it was very expensive and next time we would try to explore more of the remote sections.
